Dear Colleagues,

The 46th Annual Congress of the Turkish Respiratory Society (TÜSAD), TÜSAD-SOLUNUM 2024, will be held from November 20-24, 2024, at the Royal Seginus Hotel in Antalya.

Following the highly successful 45th Annual Congress where we celebrated the 100th anniversary of our Republic with great desire, as the congress organizing committee, we have taken over the flag. Embracing the spirit of success from the Republic's centenary celebration, our slogan for 2023 is "Success is a Journey… With Endless Breath…". We understand the significance of our role, feel the excitement deeply, and pledge to provide all attendees with a congress that is both scientifically and socially successful.

As the oldest association in the field of chest diseases in our country, TÜSAD has dedicated itself to organizing successful congresses that benefit everyone from research assistants to specialists and from young academicians to experienced professors. This year, we are working to prepare a congress program that will address current topics, share clinical experiences, and present new treatment methods and technologies, with numerous national and international speakers who are experts in their fields.

The congress will begin with courses on November 20, 2024, and continue with the scientific program from November 21-24, 2024. The courses will include practical training tailored to the needs of chest disease physicians and will allow participants to benefit from the experience of seasoned speakers. In addition to the courses, we are preparing a program that includes workshops to meet the current practical training needs in the field of chest diseases. The scientific program will feature update sessions, panels, interactive case presentations, multidisciplinary council sessions, and RAP (Rapid-Reasoned-Practical) sessions based on your requests.

As we mentioned, “Success is a journey.” Throughout the journey, we often look to the horizon. Building on this idea, this year, sessions discussing high-level academic presentations and technological innovations in our field will be held in a special hall called the “Horizon Hall.”

An important aim of congresses is to provide participants with the opportunity to present their scientific work. We encourage you to prepare and share your scientific work with us as soon as possible. We also remind you that various awards will be given to numerous works this year. In addition to awards for oral presentations, posters, case presentations, and notable researchers, the “Prof. Dr. Meliha Terzioğlu Science Award” will be presented during our congress.

In addition to the rich scientific program, we also plan enjoyable social events during the congress.

Although TÜSAD Congresses may appear to be organized primarily by the organizing committees, the actual work is carried out by our central board of directors, working groups, branches, GEAK, and provincial representatives. This collaboration enhances the congress and adds significance with your valuable participation.
